We are an inclusive all-ability cycling project in Sheffield. We support adults who can’t ride a 2-wheel bike due to Disability or health condition.

Well done to Richard for completing the @glorious Well done to Richard for completing  the @gloriousgravel Kielder Triple Crown on 29th August!

Rich borrowed our Maddiline handcycle to complete the 57km challenge ride in Kielder forest.  Amazingly he managed to do the whole ride on one battery!

📣 Only 2 days left to apply - We're hiring an Enga 📣 Only 2 days left to apply - We're hiring an Engagement Lead for Sheffield Cycling 4 All! 

You will be part of a team of staff delivering the existing SC4A programme of activity, as well as helping to continue developing our popular cycling activities and other elements of the programme. Whilst there is therefore a lot of cross-over working, this post will lead on the following areas; 

- Outreach and Engagement 
- Marketing and Communications, including management of the SC4A website and social media 
- Working with the SC4A Steering Group, alongside the SC4A Project Manager 
- Supporting our cyclists to lead on advocacy and campaigning work in the region 
- Supporting the SC4A Cycle Loan Scheme 

The job is incredibly varied, so you will need to be a good all-rounder and a creative thinker to address all the things that come your way. But don’t worry, you are part of a wider team and a host of volunteers who directly support the project, and you are also part of a larger organisation, Disability Sheffield.

Sheffield Hallam University are doing research int Sheffield Hallam University are doing research into the effects of recreational sports on the neuromotor fitness of adults with neurological conditions and aims to better understand physical capabilities such as balance, coordination, and functional movement in order to inform the development of more inclusive and effective physical activity and sport opportunities.

They are seeking adults (18 years and above) who have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, or Cerebral Palsy who may be interested in taking part. Participation would involve completing a series of safe, supervised neuromotor assessments and a short questionnaire at the beginning of the study (month 0) and at the end of the study (3 months later). The session is expected to last approximately 30 minutes, and all procedures have been designed to prioritise participant safety and comfort.
