Cycle loan scheme
We have a fleet of 14 electric assist cycles which are available for anyone living in the South Yorkshire Region, and who is Disabled or has a long-term health condition, to borrow for up to 3 months (depending on demand).
This scheme will enable people to experience pedal power as a mode of transport and is currently free of charge.
As part of the scheme, we can provide:
- – Advice and trial sessions to help find the right cycle for you
- – Ongoing support throughout your loan
- – Cycle confidence rides to help build independence
- – Help with planning safe and accessible routes
Collection & Delivery
We ask participants to collect and return their cycles from our loan base at Parkwood Springs. If this is a barrier, we can arrange drop-off and collection to you.
If you are interested in borrowing a cycle, please email info@sheffieldcycling4all.org or contact 07565695296
Please note: You must be able to cycle independently before the loan. We are not qualified to teach people to cycle. We do not assess your ability to cycle, you must do this yourself. If you disclose any medical condition, we may ask for a medical note. And may refuse or defer your loan. You also understand that cycling can involve personal risk, including potential injury or death.
If you are a beginner or want to learn, please contact local providers in Sheffield:
